Foundation Enrolments

Welcome to our prospective parents, and thank you for considering Kew East Primary School.

Kew East Primary School is a thriving community that prides itself on strong connections within the community. When you enrol your child at our school, they will be immersed in an engaging and high-performing learning environment. Parents and carers will also have the opportunity to connect and build lifelong relationships.

We are dedicated to providing a learning environment for all students, fostering inquisitive and engaged learners. Our focus on student health and wellbeing further promotes the development of the whole child.

We offer an extensive transition program that begins in Term 4, providing multiple opportunities for our future Foundation students to transition into primary school. Parents and carers also have the chance to meet the principal and current Foundation teachers during transition sessions.

Online Application for new Foundation students

This year our school is using an online system for new enrolments to Victorian government schools called VicStudents. VicStudents is available for students who are enrolling in a Victorian Government School for the first time. This includes Foundation (Prep) enrolments for 2025.

To get started:

• Visit https://students.educationapps.vic.gov.au/s/ to create an account and complete the online application form by Friday 26 July 2024. If you would prefer to submit a paper application form, please contact us.
• We will then review the information submitted and be in contact with you by Friday 9 August 2024.
• You should accept one enrolment offer by Friday 23 August 2024. When accepting an offer, you will be required to provide additional personal and health information that will be shared with the school.

Is VicStudents secure?

VicStudents has been assessed by the Department of Education to a high degree of security in line with the Victorian Protective Data Security Standards and is compliant with ISO 27001, the leading international standard for information security.
